Hello to all........ For those of you that bothered to turn up today, we had to decide on a business idea to pitch later on in May. If you want to pass your course your gonna have to do some input. happy, happy, joy, joy. The business plan we came up with is hiring bikes around london rideing them and dropping them off for someone else to take, much like the idea of the cars which they already put in place. We then found that they should be introducing this scheme in the summer any way and we have to give our own take on it, So we thought we would appeal to the audience of tourists and produce a way for them to get round. This would include maybe Sat Nav to guide them round and give them a specific way to go and give them information about each of the attraction sites, as they go round on bikes. This would technically be our unique selling point. As well as looking into what the customer might like, i.e two seated bikes, or comfy bikes, ect ect. We needed a series of managers as it were: Project Manager: ME, Tara Dulake, hello, thanxs clym for nominating me. Finance manager: John - Looking at the price of Bikes, the Sat Navs, servicing of bikes, Locks, then ow much to get a website up and running, and budgeting for the overall concept. Need to know how much to start the business up. What will be the income, how long before we break even and start making a profit. Brand Manager: Clym, looking at the whole brand of our company, We need a name, posters a website design, and a logo and its rules, ill give you the rave live manual if you don't already have it, and it can be similar to this. How are brands created and managed in general?? We still need: A Marketing MAnager: Someone to look at How we will market the product, how we will advertise it. Liaise with John and look at the costing of the advertising. What is the most affective way of advertising?? How to reach target audiences and retain them? i.e give them something for free?? or money off if they do it for more then one day. Or money off at hotels where they stay, ect. We also need a market research manager: Someone to look at the clients, what are their needs? Different languages. What do the customers want? (Two people bikes, comfy, coverd over? ect.) What is the size of the market? How will we make our money? The rest of you will need to be little researchers. Gimme a email back to let me know what you want to do.
